Intelligent temperature control - Yes

Intelligent grip - No.
I told my friends I could teach them to be funny, but they all just laughed at me.

Intelligent grip - No.

It's a feature! "Temperature rises and falls between your fingers"

(...you'll automatically stop soldering whenever there's a danger of overheating the components?)

Why in these stock soldering photos, are they always using a PC motherboard?

Why in these stock soldering photos, are they always using a PC motherboard?

Because if you are a non-electronics person working in the props department of a media company and the boss says "We need a bare PCB, populated with interesting looking components", then the easiest thing to obtain is a PC Mainboard or a graphics card.

What's the use for some of these stock photos?  I'll put a caption on them to make them more interesting...

I'm amped!  Can you measure my amperage?

That actually looks like a reasonable use of a multimeter, to check if there's a short circuit on the drive.

How about: "When Harold told me to hold his hard-drive while he probed around, I was thinking Viagra, not Varistor"

How do you know what's attached, or if anything is attached, at the other end of the leads.  :-DD

A 60W "firestick" on a PC motherboard? I hope she's just stripping components off it.

And after all that soldering, the problem was actually that she only has three sticks of RAM but the BIOS was set to Dual channel?

Oh my goodness.

What are they thinking out there? It looks like a woodburning iron. Is she doing the modern version of woodburning on a motherboard?

Soldering irons are never turned on in these stock photos. They are even photoshopping some smoke, or sometimes lots of it ;D

Maybe all the smoke is just leaking out and he's trying to stop it.

It was somewhere on this forum. A documentary on Fukushima's reactor failure or something like that.

Yes  - it was something about the tsunami and Fukushima, and yes, somewhere here.

I think you've got the right train of thought here - with a certain degree of derailment involved.
