i heard there are starting to develop chemistry communities (like reddit) that frown on experimentation for some reason. not sure why its seen as unprofessional, weird culture. kinda brainwashy

It's certainly not restricted to chemistry, all of the sciences have their collections of theoreticians for whom experimentally testing things is almost an insult, sometimes they're in power.

clown mathematicians?

like the ones that pick a solution to a differential equation they figure out how to solve (that has like 50 solutions), do it 3 more times for increasingly complex solutions and end up  being useful something like 1500000 years in the future in a alternate universe before a experiment can be set up?

reminds me of hard mathematicians that tried to re-write some kind of ultra formal stick of inconel in your ass solution to something? (the slashdot comment said they basically hated diagrams and plots and wanted everything in proof language). Like a re-write of how geometry is taught. so no one knows what the fuck is going on.

That is what happened to Scribestar which he mentioned.  I suspect similar pressure was put on Patreon.  It is now an old story in the US with New York governor Cuomo continuing it which is why the ACLU got involved in the current NRA lawsuit.
Sorry, there's nothing in there remotely connected to Patreon alternatives being surpressed.

There are few people on these forums who tend to post all kinds of unrelated links in an attempt to substantiate their typically fairly rambling stories, but so far I hadn't taken you to be one. Please don't be one.

how about the Wix tie ins? anyone else notice the Wix tie ins? i hope dave jones does not advertise wix. And now its NordVPN. well you know if you smoked a crack rock before you watched this video about how to sharpen a knife consider NordVPN so the FBI can't arrest you for having proper cutlery and watching cat videos on youtube. try 'the infographics show' on youtube. every video has some kind of e-service bullshit being shoved down your throat with a half assed pun. the people doing the advertisements with those puns sound like mommy is tickling their feet when they do it.

fuck skill share too. yea thats right your no longer getting proper skills on youtube. go pay us on skill share for the same shit. wanna know how to paint a easter egg? remove a paper clip from your shoe? cut cardboard? boil an egg? skill share is for you

lol I used to rage on those amazon tie ins on youtube, where you put a amazon link to the product you are reviewing for a commision, but in retrospect its better then some fucking irrelevant e-service. i just watched a video about a heat sink review and linus is telling me about some fucking VPN service. i wonder whats on your hard drive bro
