Swedish eletronics safety board recall USB chargers
« on: March 31, 2013, 11:19:42 am »
Just seen that the swedish safety board has tested a number of USB chargers from the swedish market, they say that most of them are recall because of to small space between the mains and low voltages that need to be 5+ mm but i most cases just was 1mm and that 8 of 10 is having a "CE" logo on them.

The difference between the CE logo and alleged "China Export" mark.

Example look images in: "USB-laddare återkallas från konsument1"

There can clearly see that there is not official CE logo as European Conformance CE mark.
Letters "CE" are not enough. The logo must not be modified.
But it can see that letters C and E have used like  purpose of fraud.

EV of course. Cars with smoke exhaust pipes - go to museum. In Finland quite all electric power is made using nuclear, wind, solar and water.

Wises must compel the mad barbarians to stop their crimes against humanity. Where have the (strong)wises gone?

so now RF loop, would it then be right to assume devices with the compacted CE marking are fakes? or is there something specific to these chargers?

CE in many cases is just meaning Cheap Electronics, nothing else. Or Counterfeit Electronics.

Yes if it is marked as fraud. Also there is lot of misunderstandings about what  it really is.

If there is real CE logo and example manufacturer show CE certificates etc documents it ok.
Btw, Importer is responsible for check all these things. It is not enough that Importer only look there is letters CE. If Importer/seller do not know what it mean and what all things need and who is responsible about what. Specially if items come outside from EU.
If seller do not understand these directives and requirements It is best that he/she goes to herding sheeps.

One big problem is that there not good reliable prior control.
As in wikipedia:
"There are mechanisms in place to ensure that the CE marking is put on products correctly. Controlling products bearing CE marking is the responsibility of public authorities in Member States, in cooperation with the European Commission."

But where is real control! Oh yes, they are sleeping.

And even better, example this "Apple" charger.
Simpy, it is illegal to sell in EU.

"The label on the USB charger. Here missing including CE marking, which is a requirement for this type of product to be sold." Google translation from swedish article.

I believe the CE logo can only be applied by agents (eg. importers) within the EU, so CE logo on equipment directly shipped from China is invalid, regardless of the spacing.

Not so, Alm:
It is the manufacturer’s responsibility to carry out the conformity
assessment, to set up the technical file, to issue the
EC declaration of conformity and to affix CE marking on a
product. Distributors must verify the presence of both the
CE marking and the necessary supporting documentation.
If the product is being imported from a third country,
the importer has to verify that the manufacturer outside
the EU has undertaken the necessary steps and that the
documentation is available upon request.

I stand corrected. Either it was changed or I was misinformed.
