Title: Taking video of projects/builds...
Post by: jimdeane on January 25, 2019, 07:02:32 pm
Does anyone have a good tool chain for taking and processing videos in linux?

I'd like to document some builds, but I don't want to have a four hour video, so I'd like to do things like speed up portions of the video, or convert a length of video to stop motiontime lapse, insert a transition slide, that sort of thing.

The only video program I've used in Linux has been Cheese, which actually works very nicely for taking presentation videos, but its effects are kind of gimmicky, and I don't think it can do things like detailed video editing.

I don't want taking and editing the video to be the focus of my project (though I know it will take time).

What do you use?

I use Kdenlive for editing, it's not the best thing in the world and has some weird quircks sometimes, but it's the best program I found so far.
