Optimus 1 could dance and Optimus 2 does something to an egg , perhaps Optimus 3 can boil eggs and dance at the same time?! :-// ^-^

I'm well aware about Boston Dynamics. However Tesla started robot development just about 2 years ago while Boston Dynamics does it for decades. Also Boston dynamics have never shown anything similar to hands with fingers that can do delicate operations.

This really isn't that special - nothing that hasn't been seen in research programmes and prototypes already.

If Tesla can show a robot that can reliably run without falling, climb uneven and slippery surfaces and manipulate arbitrary tools they might have a claim to state of the art, but as it is, it's hard to see how this robot fills a niche that isn't already filled by other robotics.

The human body form isn't exactly ideal for a lot of things that we do every day.  Tesla did say they wanted to use Optimus in building cars, but we already have robotics to do that, that are specialised to the task at hand like installing windows and welding, where would Optimus fit in?  So excuse me if this isn't that impressive.   :=\
