Title: Tesla to enter drone passenger partnership with Boeing
Post by: aargee on April 01, 2015, 01:43:21 am
After a breakthrough with high energy density battery designs, in partnership with Panasonic, Boeing has approached Tesla to bring the new 'first person view drone transport' to reality.
The new 'ships' will carry up to eight passengers autonomously and have a range of 150 nautical miles and use a proprietary guidance system written in part by Microsoft.
"The synergies in teaming up with Microsoft were just obvious as we live in the same town" a Boeing spokesperson said.
Google is also working on a similar concept but has been unable to get it off the ground after negative feedback regarding their dalliance with self guided cars.
Solar Roadways has supported the concept which will give their project more operational sunlight by taking cars off the road.
Reports that an Australian commentator saying "That's just bullsh!t" remain that - just reports.

AKA: they're dead already.

Anybody who would put Microsoft in charge of anything more than a GUI button-clicky interface to some DB or web system is just asking for problems.

It's an attempt from Google to redirect the link back to here so they can keep on working in secrecy on their own project and people won't know what MS, Boeing and Tesla are working on.

But I saw the page before they redirected it and it mentioned that the plane will be released 3/31/2016 right after midnight

One of my co-workers had a recurring nightmare:
He's in the hospital intensive care ward, and the ICU is running Windows.
