I've seen the movie twice and now I have to watch it again to see this elusive meter, lol (good excuse). PeterG, here is a real tricorder powered by linux (I really love that OS and its many flavors) http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2012/03/researcher-publishes-specs-for-real-linux-powered-star-trek-tricorder/ --- Quote from: PeterG on June 03, 2012, 12:41:37 pm --- --- Quote from: EEVblog on June 03, 2012, 12:07:47 pm ---As for multimeters, I think that French Metrix folding multimeter is probably the only one that would look the part: --- End quote --- Add a few LEDs and it becomes a tricorder.....LOL --- End quote --- |

I also noticed an old 70s era analog oscilloscope in one scene. It may have been a Tektronix 485, but I'm not sure. The 70's blue plastic also seemed out of place among the transparent oled screens and such. |

I watched it twice in digital 3D and regular, IMO the 3D isn't that emphasized and you wouldn't really miss out. |
