The First Television Image of Mars

More on the Mariner 4 mission that took the above image in 1965. The images were stored on a tape recorder with a 21 image memory.

That is a great story, I saw a PBS video about it a few years ago.
Just goes to show that there is always
a work around for lack of tech.
