(1/1)
pcprogrammer:
It is an oldie but in a way timeless. 8 minutes food for thought or just fun :)

jonpaul:
"I want to say  one word to you, Benjamin.......just one word

Plastics!"

Mr Braddock, spoken to Benjamin, (Dustin Hoffman) in 1967 film The Graduate, with Ann Bancroft.

Carlin wasn't a scientist.  So I don't trust his opinion on scientific things.  It's humor.

Calling environmentalists "narrow, unenlightened and self-interested" is an odd take, for sure.    But I should get out of here before this thread goes off on one of those political tailspins that so many of them seem to achieve.
pcprogrammer:
Yeah he is not for the faint hearted :)

My brother named him when the meaning of life was mentioned by me as something "discussed" here on the forum. You know, this one: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/chat/can-i-ask-a-question-about-our-universe/

I found it amusing, but he does have a valid point that the planet will survive long after we are gone, unless we blow it to bits and pieces with some big nuclear bomb or a massive meteorite comes along and does it of course.
