A Mazda Miata body would probably offer similar handling.
What is beautiful in it? Looks ugly to me.
A sportsy Mazda can be a bundle of fun to drive and it won't bite your head off. If I have some extra money leftover I might buy myself an MX5 some day.A Mazda Miata body would probably offer similar handling. That tin-foil hat must be getting way too tight if you even begin to think there's a valid point of comparison between an E-type and a Mazda.

If I ever have that sort of cash to spare it's definitely going on a plane or boat, not a car.
40Kw ? what is wrong with these car makers.... That's is a joke. The weight would be a little over the half of the car's weight. And you probably only need it to get to the nearest golf club, as it is hardly a practical car for the 21 century. "Sorry I scratched your car while parking to the undersized parking space." "That's OK, the damage is only 10 times the value of your peugeot."
Shove a 100Kw battery pack in there. Then you got something.

Well, time to save up half a million pounds. BTW I dont want a Tesla anymore.
I think some forum members need to save up for an 'h' first, before looking for an e-car. >:D
40Kw ... 100Kw
40KW
60kw
Doesn't matter. The tesla roadster was, by all means, not very practical ,but it can go 330 miles on a charge ... Weight is almost irrelevant if you have dual motors.40Kw ? what is wrong with these car makers.... That's is a joke. The weight would be a little over the half of the car's weight. Car makers are just not trying. Simply because they know it would gobble up their ICE sales.Huh? All Jaguar will have electric or hybid engine by 2020, all Volvo will come with electric or hybrid engine by 2019. It just takes longer, because they target the 99% of the market, not the 1%, and they earn money with sales, not with VC.
It's not the horsepower that matters, it's torque. And there you simply can not beat the 'coffeeblenders with a battery'Anyone driving an electric car, and understanding basic "ideal tourque RPM curve" phisics knows this. I drove a S 85, it is nice. Not sure, where I could use the acceleration, probably if there would be a traffic light on a highway.
It's not the horsepower that matters, it's torque. You should get your the money back you paid for school because that is sooo wrong. Please brush up your elementary physics!
I've just switched from a petrol to an electric motorbike. I can tell you it's definitely is about the torque.Hint: Draw a graph with the power and torque versus of a motor which outputs a constant amount of power (like many turbocharged engines do). You'll see the torque goes down! Keep in mind that you think you feel the most accelleration when the power isn't at it's maximum level (which usually is the area where the torque is constant). Manufacturers know our brain miss-interpret accelleration and tune the engines accordingly but it doesn't produce the fastest accelleration. If you have ever driven a car with a turbocharged engine you'll probably have noticed that at some point the power seems to drop. At that point you'll enter an area with maximum power. Many people switch gears at this point but that is the wrong thing to do. After all power is energy per unit of time and what you need to do in order to accellerate as fast as possible is supply as much energy as you can. That doesn't happen in the region where torque is constant because the power will not be at the maximum level. Basic physics. Just do the math and don't let your brain fool you.

Cars with the wheels tucked right in from the edge look ugly.
In any case, it should be square cars, round women, not the opposite.
a = F x m
F force
m is mass
a is acceleration
torque is force, just with a vector

They are so ugly they have an event horizon surrounding them.

For me the Fiat Multipla isn't an ugly car, it just looks odd, a bit like a weird bug thing.
The only car on here so far that I would refuse a ride in is the hideous red corvette. I'm in the UK and to me that car is aimed the USA equivalent of our very own "medallion man with chest wig dunked in aftershave" Or maybe it's for someone who has a very small penis.
Somehow this thread has turned upside down to the title.I dont really know what happened. I just wanted to tell that they made an electric e-type. Then the americans showed up and everything went to "hey look at this muscle car".
It is easier to pick examples of ugliness than to try to present something as the most <positive quality> :)Somehow this thread has turned upside down to the title.I dont really know what happened. I just wanted to tell that they made an electric e-type.

Please don't lump all of us Americans together. :) I'd take an E Type over just about any other car if I could afford one.
Not beautiful. Evil. So evil it IS beautiful.

a little known car ....Ahhh... The SP-2! That was a dream for teenagers that grew in Brazil during the 70s and 80s.
