Found neat video on the "Secret Life of Machines, the video recorder.

The host looks like an older version of Dave ;-).

I loved that series.  Tim Hunkin made the videos available for free online at one point.  All well worth watching.

And if you're in the UK, go down to the Southwold under the pier show, really cool machines. The shows are brilliant, well worth watching
