The ultimate 555, the 55555
« on: July 20, 2017, 08:51:33 am »
Today, while doing some researches about metal and bell casting, I came across the ultimate 555 oscillator:

Standing inside that bell is awesome and was a tick on my bucket list :)

Slight aside:
The number 5 there is written as "ngar" but pronounced the same as "Ha" so 555 is said as "Ha Ha Ha" :)
Ever in a message chat with anyone from Burma or Thailand and they'll often type 555 instead of LOL.
Always makes me smile as I look for my HaHaHa chips :)

don't forget the 5555, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interstella_5555:_The_5tory_of_the_5ecret_5tar_5ystem

I am going out on a limb in assuming at least some piece of equiptment they used would have a 555,

I recently had a strange dream. The ultimate 555. 10,000 volts, the size of a shipping container. A walk through center (for cooling of course). and it was at my sister's because she has the ability to break every appliance made, no matter how well built.

It was for timing the interval's between each new broken appliance.

...and, yes, I mean refrigerators, washers and so on..

That could be a project, if you base it high voltage vacuum tubes.

YOU'VE GONE AND DONE IT...you've given me ideas, which is potentially dangerous.
