I think this is hilarious. Well some of the things he makes are kinda good to know, in a MacGyver sort of way. but wow.
High voltage soldering iron? Soldering with a transistor?

That channel makes my brain hurt. It’s a low-budget “5 Minute Crafts” crap channel, just for soldering with some of the worst technique I’ve ever seen. Every video is tagged with a different Spanish-speaking country. There are gratuitous disco lights in almost every video. WTF?
coppercone2:
I just blame the economy
but using a shorted diode or whatever that is to solder is brilliant. Resistors in those packages are rated 300F often. So that one is actually valid without absolute maximum overload of greater then 50%
Take apart a larger broken power supply and the fried diodes and mosfets might be good SMT soldering tools, for a few uses. :-+
I figure that diode starts diffusing or whatever and turns into a silicon resistor. SO long the bond to the heat sink holds it should be good.
tooki:
Yeah, no, nothing there screams “brilliant” to me. “Creative” yes. But brilliant? No.
Geoff-AU:
Electroboom-ish entertainment. I'd never be that desperate to need to solder something.
