Forget the informal part. I love how they say "they're popular on the internet."  :-DD

Yes - I don't hide it here. It's on just about every schematic I've posted too.

Waiting to see what Dave thinks of this...

He would range somewhere between carefree to happy. It's free advertising for him, with more videos, comes more income. The only thing that he might be pissed of about is if the videos are not serviced by his youtube account, thus cutting him out of the money circle.

They actually link to the relevant pages on eevblog.com. So nope, no circumventing his income.

They're obviously not the prof's favorites, but I am sure by now Dave understands that whatever you do, not everybody is going to like it. At least they are sharing them with the students!

I wonder if Dave was a student there? I bet he was a bit of a smart ass (to put it mildly). If so, I can see how the teachers/professors  would not appreciate his "ways". I can see him going around a room with crazy glue and hitting everything in sight.

This guy's young and a bit of a fan of the "maker" shit, and Dave doesn't really fit into that scene well (thank god). I'm not surprised.

Yep, my care factor that one person found my videos not as concise as someone else's is precisely, zero.

I don't think we'll be learning that method :)

I've got an electric griddle that I cut the lips off on the sides, it's damn good for power supplies and the like.
