TI datasheets
Ian.M:
I've still got Internet Explorer on this Win10 Pro x64 20H2 box, and can confirm its also borked for me under IE and an absolutely 'vanilla' MS Edge.
I've just fired up an old Pi running Rasbian 'Stretch'. Its borked in all browsers I've got installed there.
My current public IP address geolocates to the UK.
Exe may be onto something - it may be CDN wierdness that T.I are only marginally (if at all) aware of.

The link works fine for me. Probably a CDN issue, like you guys have said.

Bizarely, the link in this thread that didn't work for me yesterday works fine today. All of them. But the TI website one still doesn't. I have decentraleyes installed (addon for dealing with CDNs) but even removing that doesn't help. And it's not installed in another browser which also doesn't work. I am thinking that the mess pointed to by rdl is some new W3C thing that only recent Chrome-based stuff knows about, or something like that.
Anyway, let's not get too distracted. Recall that what first caught my attention was the lack of datasheets on RS for TI products, and further searching showed the same at LCSC: TI product? no datasheet; non-TI? datasheet. There are some counter-examples but as a general rule that seems to be the position, and it seems a rather strange one to encourage design-in of parts.
I've emailed RS to ask about this and will report back...
Wolfram:
The direct link to the 555 datasheet just leads to a blank page in Chrome 88.0.4324.190, trying to access it from eastern France. In Firefox, pressing the link from the thread loads the PDF reader plugin, but without any contents and the warning "This PDF document might not be displayed correctly.". When I press "Open With Different Viewer" it tries to download a 0-byte file. I also tried pasting the link directly into the address bar and it didn't seem to make a difference.
I've had issues with loading datasheets on the TI website for a while, but not consistently.
sandalcandal:
I'm in Australia and I've never had any issues with TI datasheets loading (that I can remember). Is there anyone outside the EU with issues? Maybe an issue with their EU mirror? Perhaps try a VPN?
