Ha-ha, now I got troubles with TI datasheets too. The server responds with "HTTP/1.1 304 Not Modified", even when just trying to download directly, without any cookies or whatever. I didn't find a way to download that file ( https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lm317-n.pdf ). Now I also recall that I had this issues recently. I had to reload page several times before I could download it. |

Not just that, I tried to fetch datasheet with curl, with and without cookiesm anonymous mode, no luck. Like this doesn't work for me: curl -vv 'https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lm317-n.pdf' . |

Exactly. I clicked a few links here out of curiosity and some return 304 and some return 304 or 200 depending on whether I use a browser or wget. This response is only valid if the client requests a version newer that it already has in its cache using special HTTP syntax. Sending it to normal request is illegal. I suspect some misconfiguration, where responses between their cache servers are leaked to the client in semi-random circumstances. |O |

Ah, got it. Illegal means the webserver should not send 304 arbitrary, but only when the client provided a special header to check. |
