That was rather underwhelming.

Watching with auto-transcribe, however, was hilarious :D

Necessary mention: Dave and Chris talked about and linked to this on their Feb 22 '11 show :P

I guess you can consider that their opinion if you are interested.

Gives me an idea for a new TV series - "Celebrity teardown" where celebs take stuff apart and try to make sense of it while having the piss taken out of them by people who actually know what they're talking about.

Add a Darwin factor - stuff is plugged in - weeds out the dumb ones that don't figure out they need to unplug it first...!

Youtube channel:Taking wierd stuff apart. Very apart.
Mike's Electric Stuff: High voltage, vintage electronics etc.
Day Job: Mostly LEDs

Is nothing sacred in the world of electronics anymore?

I'm really bad...

When she took the back off, I hoped she would notice the anode lead, and the rubber end on it, and say "Look, a suction cup holds this in place.  Let me get my fingers under here, and pop it off."

Of course the coating on the tube forms a large capacitor, and the set even once powered off can have thousands of volts.  Coming into contact with it, can really give you a real bad "jump start".  Perhaps she has done this before... maybe that accounts for the hair style!   ;D
