Hi How do you manage your parts at home? I'm not talking about production or point of sales IMS .... Just organising you parts in your workshop. I'm starting to get problems that I lose overview about what I have lying around. I was looking for a solution but I did not want to use Excel ... I want something also working on the go ... This is my solution: https://storage.im-pro.at I wrote an instructables about it: https://www.instructables.com/id/TIM-Tag-Based-Inventory-Management-System/ I also have an tutorial video: https://youtu.be/JefecAt33rk I hope it is also useful for someone else ... |

It's a nice and simple way to manage any kind of parts. It's a shame there doesn't seem to be a good thread about part management. It seems a few -like you- have done their own thing to answer their needs but I haven't found an electronic part oriented system yet that really includes all the useful things I would like one to do. At any rate, your system looks pretty good for general hobbyist part management. Thanks for sharing it! |
