| Halcyon:
I just stumbled upon Tim's YouTube channel this week. He does some excellent videos, including The Secret Life of Machines series. These have been re-uploaded to Youtube in HD from the original film. His channel is here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGrpLw1W3P1_BC4J-Hpytww Don't let the episode names fool you. They are quite a bit more technical than the usual "How it's made" style series and are very practical. He's an engineer who builds all kinds of weird and wonderful machines. His video on different types of glue is also very good. Here is one to get you started.... |

Tim Hunkin is amazing and his book 'The Rudiments of Wisdom' was one of my favourite books as a kid. |

If you ever make it to London you really should check out his Holborn arcade |
| Shock:
Fluke 112, this man has taste. Australia and New Zealand dodged a few bullets with mains wiring, plugs and sockets (not perfect, but close). I stepped on a UK plug with bare feet once, regretted it instantly. |
