TMA-2 found?

This appears to be in multiple news outlets. Some kind of antenna? guerilla art sculpture? RF Reflector?

Given that it seems to be around since 2013, stainless steel construction?

Bit of a poor polish job on it though...  ???

It's either a hoax or a prank.

It was taken down because it wasn't the correct dimensions (1 x 4 x 9 - the squares of the first three positive integers).
I told my friends I could teach them to be funny, but they all just laughed at me.

Now I have my own. Since I have a 3D printer why not? Yes it's the correct dimensions.  :)

collect them all.. and have enough body work for a delorian?

hilarious about how skeptical society is, a real UFO could land and you really would have some hick contractors found by some guys kids watching local youtube with pipe wrenches taking the thing apart like a 80's horror movie. Hopefully no one makes a RTG or bio experiment that looks outlandish. It's funny when I was a kid I though those b-monster alien movies were garbage, that there would be a strong goverment response with hazmat suits and containment teams lol. suddenly the blob is quite real? you would figure an x-ray machine at least but you know its gonna be the mayors uncle harry taking it apart with a arc gouge made of junk yard car batteries on his rusty red russian made pickup truck........... might even make it to youtube

I guess micheal critoeon got it right in the andromeda strain. warning sticker falls off and everyones fucked. low cost starlink junk satellite parts on ebay in 20 years? the spacex job posting is still resonating in my head 'low cost satellite designer'. Let get creative with alibaba ion adjustment thrusters guys! (thats gotta be a fun job  ::) first 'likely pvc we got shipped 2 days before the launch' wiring harness in space ). I guess there is a good reason why privatized space is cheaper then NASA.

I actually thought it might be some kind of retroreflector for microwaves or whatever when I saw the first one, maybe it fell off a military helicopter testing radars or something (hauling it underneath, shitty winch).
