"ExplainingComputers" - "5 most annoying things" videos

Can relate. The physical designs of micro HDMI and USB-C are utter crap (Raspberry Pi "foundation" - looking at you!)

This extremely sharp gentleman knows his stuff, and I agree:

As far as I'm concerned, it's all down to 'Redundancy'. But mainly due to COSTS/Savings...
You can't buy a Laptop now with a built in CD/DVD drive, to save costs and for 'room'. People/Companies made them
redundant, not just due to technologies today, but to save money.  Similarly, traditional USB 2/3 ports are becoming redundant,
even though 99% of current users still want/need them!!  They all now push for the new Type 'C' connectors, not only because
of their apparent usefulness today, but to shift hardware to external devices externally, and save more money!!
Diagonal of 1x1 square = Root-2. Ok.
Diagonal of 1x1x1 cube = Root-3 !!!  Beautiful !!

What’s wrong with ditching optical drives? They hung around in laptops far longer than most people needed them with any regularity. So why schlep it around all the time? Just plug one in when needed.

USB-C has been sloooowly displacing USB type-A ports because they’re a lot smaller, can handle power, and because of Thunderbolt/USB 4 capability, which isn’t compatible with Type-A. (USB-C is not a successor to USB 2/3 as such: a USB-C connector can be USB 2, USB 3.x., Thunderbolt 3, or USB 4.)

not having USB type is a bit annoying, but a built in CD/DVD drive would be totally pointless and has been for many years
