They are available on Ebay in the UK so most likely elsewhere as well Dont even need a soldering iron to change them they just plug in for the Manual Have you tried the Toshiba web site they normaly have all the data but you will need the specific model number not just the C650. I have taken many laptops apart without the manual in order to change the power socket I just follow my nose so to speak usually start by lifting the bezel to the keyboard and then the keyboard before turning it over to remove screen as whole unit then take off the bottom.

Here is a link to guide on how to disassemble the Toshiba C650 range.

Good luck with it.

Dear PeterG:

--It would be nice if you could post pictures of your repair as it goes along. By the way as long as you are pronouncing solder the way it is spelled, maybe you would like to have a go at the word pattern, pronouncing it pat-ern rather than pat-tin. Just kidding. I love the way Australians speak.

--I understand the Australian patois originated when on the way to Botany Bay, most of the vowels that did not rhyme with might, fell overboard. "Right Might, Bites a Pike in the Eye". For truly classy use of the King's English you need go to NYNY in the good old USA. "Dose Suddeners soun so ignowent wid du way dey twalk, fugedaboudit"

"If you build a better mousetrap, you will catch better mice."

LOL, sgtRock is the first to notice my Pet Hate..... Its weird how something so simple pisses me off so much.... ::)

Yes i will take photos of the repair as i progress. The part are coming from USA so it may be a couple of weeks away.

According to the service manual, it should be painless.
