«

Hi, i have this TV, it says 45Watt on the back, and the A+ label says 17Watt.
How does it work ?, is the 17Watt for energy saving mode or something ?
Wich one to trust ?, the backside or the manual ?
thanks

The only way to find what it is really drawing is to plug it into one of those energy consumption plugs and set it to watts.

45W power supply. Probably 17W consumption under a specific test cycle.

A lot of TVs come with the brightness turned down to medium/low brightness by default, so they can get qualified for energystar or whatever local energy saving qualification is applicable.
So probably 17W as it came from the factory, and closer 45W when you turn the brightness up to max and are showing a bright scene.

Ah, the supply is 45W max and the actual usage can be below that, its some standard PSU part or something maybe.
If you take the average of all power saving options including screen off you are below half already.
They have energy saving mode that makes the screen turn dark and light, ofcourse i have all these settings off.
I need such a thing to find out to measure WATTs, hope they not so expensive.
