Ultrasonic cutters
« on: May 16, 2021, 05:38:17 pm »
I have been thinking about getting one of these very pricey items to make it easier for me to successfully negotiate building enclosures for projects - hobby projects.

I have done some due diligence, read a lot and seen some videos.

I am considering these two:

https://www.micromark.com/Wondercutter - been around for a while and there are some videos out there.

More recently, a flood of these have shown up on $bay - https://www.ebay.com/itm/393069929067?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28
~US$ 100 cheaper. Looks like lower power and absolutely no video reviews that I can find and that manufacturer has lots of other models.

Does anyone have some advice? Has anyone actually used any at this level?

careful with the cords, the cheap ones literary looked like they use telephone cords, and I am not sure how high the voltage is, they do use a regular telephone jack from the youtube video I watched some time ago (lost it).
