I'd never thought I would see the day . . .(IPv6)
« on: May 23, 2014, 01:17:19 am »
Time Warner Cable (TWC) actually bothered to roll out IPv6 in my area! :-+ Now if they would give me a non-crappy upload speed (currently 2Mbps), I could run my own mini-datacenter.  Sadly, I don't see my speeds being increased anytime soon as TWC is pretty much my only option for an ISP (the joy of ISP monopolies in the USA) and the situation may get worse when Comcrap acquires TWC. I just hope Comrcrap decides not to play the port blocking game.

I used to have IPv6 via native tunneling but AT&T started blocking it about the time they started charging for upgrades to support it.

I read somewhere that the FCC  is considering altering the definition of "broadband" to mean 10Mb or greater.  That could have implications for people suffering with slow connections.

We only have Fuckcast available here as well. 7mb/1mb for $40/month
I'm not saying we should kill all stupid people. I'm just saying that we should remove all product safety labels and let natural selection do its work.
