A few years before I retired, the boss was yanking my chain for using large-format (sheet-film) cameras for quality pictures (not vacation snaps) claiming they were obsolete.
His hobby was raising draft horses.
I pointed out that the horseless carriage and tractor had been invented.
I am always amused by people with their own hobbies and interests who cannot understand other people's interests.
SiliconWizard:
Vinyl records are still being produced in significant quantities. Some people like that, there is a market. Nothing wrong with that.

One for the record, ::) perhaps Im not in the groove. do prefer reel to reel tape for its home recording ability.
I still welcome new technology, however sometimes what was ouce science fiction Should in my opinion remain fiction.
having seen so many movies about how the present day is supposed to be, shock horror! I came to the conclusion
not all new technology used by the general public is mutualy beneficial to a cohesive society.
Black Phoenix:
There has been an uptrend in the Vinyl, Compact Cassette and the more younger Mini-Disc in the last years.
Heck even the Zune is getting popular now...
