Can anyone identify this LCD?
« on: April 13, 2018, 12:24:44 pm »
Hi,

I wonder if anyone can identify the manufacturer and model of the LCD below that’s used on ST Microelectronics X-NUCLEO-LPM01A power consumption measurement board. Unlike other development boards from ST, this one doesn’t appear to have the schematic and BOM available, so I can’t find the manufacturer/model. I don’t want to risk damaging it by taking the display off the board to see if there’s a part number on the back as I need it for the work I’m doing.

The dimensions are about 41.4mm(W) x 24.2mm(H) x 4mm(D).
It’s backlit.
Although they’re only displaying 16x2 characters, it may be that this is in fact a graphics display. I don’t know for sure either way.
Note how few pins there are, so it may be a serial rather than parallel data connection to it. This could be useful as I may be able to use a microcontroller with fewer pins, hence smaller and lower cost.

Thanks

Brian

It looks similar to this one:

It does indeed look like it. Well spotted and thanks for replying to let me know. Much appreciated.
