Cool video. It's in German but interesting to watch.

The level of robotics and automation is impressive.

Very impressive. Although I'd like to know why their cars seem to be getting increasingly more unreliable.

I've got 3 friends who have new Golf's and each have had engine or gearbox issues. I also owned a brand new Amarok from new which also had gearbox problems (2 new gearboxes under warranty and the issue still wasn't resolved -- Gave up and traded it for a Toyota Hilux instead).

All I've heard was, chassis, transport, chassis, transport, chassis, transport.... 600V on chassis, transport, chassis, transport... oh, and a couple of VW mentions as well as Golf. Edit: Oh and automated, and assembly. And I forgot, quality and one mention of the airbag.

But pretty cool.

Great video. In response to the person who mentioned problems. I have a Jetta TDI with 67,000 miles and have not had a single problem. It was made in Mexico. My father has a 14 Passat 1.8 turbo assembeled in the U.S. and has no problems either. We are both very happy with them. Comparing anything to a Hilux, or what we call a Tacoma here in the U.S. (If ours was Diesel like the rest of the world can have and not gas i would be there buying one now!) is a but harsh. As top gear proved (Even though it was obviously cooked for television) they are made of pure neutron star and cannot be destroyed!
