We'll all be famous!

TrentO:
A must see--

Dave's short film entitled "Dihydrogen Monoxide" <-- H2O, water!!

On the surface this film has the appearance of a low-grade, low-thought, scripted home movie, but the last 45-seconds contains a message that is incredibly powerful-- the stuff in the first six-minutes merely sets the stage for that message. You start to realize that the bad acting was intentionally bad acting, for the sake of bad acting!  Brilliant!

(This is not a plant by a buddy of Dave's-- I just annoy him, he doesn't even like me.)

P.S.: More scenes with the hot wife next time!

[WE'LL all be famous, because we were fans of Dave's work before he won Cannes or an Oscar.]

EEVblog:
LOL!
It is a low-grade, low thought out, poorly shot, poorly edited and scripted home movie with bad acting!
It was however enough to win us $2000 first prize in the Earthprize short film festival a few years back!
It was shot and put together in a weekend so we could get it up on the Earthprize site as quickly as possible in order to get the most votes.
We had to hike more than 10km just to film the final scenes on the ridge and at the waterfall.
That final scene on top of the waterfall was actually shot in the "rain", although there wasn't a cloud in the sky, it was so windy that the entire 100m waterfall blew back up over the top of the falls. We got the shot we wanted with 5 minutes to spare before we had to head back.
Great fun!

Dave.

GeekGirl:

I have been studying the sci. for years, that I never wore any outfit to denote sci.  Maybe because I did it on the technician's level.  Canyoneering is exploration.  The theme is the search for the meaning of water and where it comes from and result of water shaped landscapes, canyon.  The plot was hard to follow at the beginning.  I sat patiently to view the entire movie.  I was suspense and worried about the dangers of Australia viewing the movie.  What if there was a snake in the canyon?  What if the Canyoneering couple discovered some secret Australian rear earth element formations and a mining company will not allow them to leave the province back home for fear a competitor company will claim it first?  Australia has tantalum minerals.  I made my own capacitors.  I did an assistance part time job, while at university with a matter professor who made special cooler temperature super conductors with Cu-Se materials.  Cu-Se never lead to an useful product.  Maybe this water has special dissolving properties to clean better, water is the universal solvent.  It is a special isotope spring of heavy deuterium water, D2O?  I do like the iron oxide banding at the canyon.  Good film and done in short period of time and low budget film.  I found this old listing by random luck.
