I made several orders from LCSC in past months. I even made one short stupid video unboxing LCSC order.

However, 5 days i go i went to make new order and estimation tool was not working for Bosnia and Herzegovina. I thought, maybe just that part of website is not 100% ok.

(in the chat the lady said that they don't ship to Bosnia any more)

I went for the checkout and as i used my saved address, everything passed ok.

The package is now shipped and i got the tracking code.

However, when i went to make another order today, it was blocked. The support doesn't say anything, just that they have some issues with shipping.

I also must say that Bosnia is country in europe, located between Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro . So, on one side there is EU and NATO country, Serbia is maybe not EU but it's not on LCSC ban list too.

I really don't get it.

Shipping works, payment works but i have no idea what could be the reason for blocking us to get good and affordable parts.

In Bosnia we also have issues with Digi-Key, they only offer 120 EUR shipping option. However, 100miles from Sarajevo, they get same order for only 10-15 eur. In Serbia or Croatia.

RS Electronics is also blocking Bosnia on it's shipping list.

And all of them "don't know the reason why".

If i knew the reason, maybe we would be able to do something about that.

Hi,

I am having the exact same issue (and same country). Had a few previous orders without a problem, now wanted to make another order but no luck. My country disappeared from the list.

I event contacted them and this is what they told me:

Quote
Hello Sir,
Sorry we don't ship to Bosnia and Herzegovina now due to some unsettled shipping problems here.
Sincerely,

Quote
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I was not aware of that because I ordered before from LCSC and was going to make another order.
Do you have any additional information about the shipping problem?
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for your order.
But sorry it seems like the problem cannot be solved very soon,
if you need the parts urgently, we have to advise you to go to other suppliers.
Sincerely,

This is really strange.  |O

The most likely reason is that no mail agent available to LCSC will ship to those countries any more.
It's happened before that china stops shipping to country X randomly due to weird mail stoppages.

People in china want to sell things and make money so I doubt it's LCSC themselves refusing the sale.
Something out of their control will be physically preventing them.

One possible reason are shipping problems. Like an unusual number of packages that get lost or damaged.
Another possible problem could be customs problems, like it may take too long for customs to clear or in some cases customs may not let some products (especially fake copies) in. This sometimes is a problem with Germany: so some shops don't sell there counterfeit good to Germany, as to often they get caught by customs.

Well,

Since war, there is no electronics industry any more so nobody cares about the fake products and it's very rare, only in case of clothes and some home suppliences that they control that.

Also, the lost package rate is very very very low, especially packages with tracking. I don't remember in 2000-3000 orders with tracking if 1 was lost.

It also looks strange within LCSC.

Now i got an email saying. "The problem is fixed, check tomorrow." It sounds to me as if part of support team know the reason why and the other part lust located the issue in the ordering web system. :/

Because i have several emails in past 2 days saying that they don't ship to Bosnia any more and so on...

@Psi well, so far, i have some sellers that i regularly buy from. Also from China (i know, it's huge country, probably they don't have same working and shipping conditions), bus to far, nobody every complained about shipping. Usually it's 2 weeks by regular China Post.

I also have no idea what is the difference between posts there. Looks like they have several "regular" post companies. Soemthing like Singapore and Hong Kong etc. I have no idea how multiple country shipping companies can operate in same area.

WOW, that is a VERY wide list of prohibited items!  No electronic parts?  Is this just for FedEx, or is it a customs restriction on all carriers/postal?

So, is every FedEx package filled with nitrogen and then sealed before shipping? ;)

I'm confused too. But FedEx is not present in bosnia anyway. Only DHL.

FedEx uses contractor in Bosnia to deliver packages. Their shipping is shockingly expensive from here.

DHL is pretty ok. But they make HUGE HUGE HUGE issues with imports. What ever comes to me, despite the laws which permits up to 150EUR tax free import, they are trying to put it as taxable goods and trying to add about 50EUR "import papers fee" on each package if they can.

Anyway.

thnx guys

if anyone heard anything about this kind of issues, thnx.

I also hope Digi-Key will put normal shipping prices one day not 120 EUR per package.

Now, there is no Bosni n the country list but i was able to use my saved Bosnia address to go further in the order process.

Thank you guys for giving sharing your thoughts.

That is quite a list. Almost looks like the former federal republic Yugoslavia (Bosnia was part of it back then) that was under embargo from everyone, so technology had to be smuggled in.

Tho most countries seam to have a list similarly as long, but most of the lists make sense apart from a few oddities. For example for Slovenia contains quite a few actually: Acids, Corrosives, Oxidizers, Gasses, Graphite products, Plant products. So god help you if you want to send a pencil and a small bottle of vinegar and even dare to not pack it in a vacuum chamber.

According to the list, China prohibits computer parts, and products made in Taiwan marked as made in Republic of China.
I've exported both to China, and FedEx happily delivered them to my clients.

In this case it's probably just too high rate of loss of package, that LCSC decided to not to bother.
Same goes for Russia. Many eBay sellers won't ship to Russia due to the very corrupted mail system there.

In Bosnia, i don't know what was the rate of lost packages, but now, any goods that arrive in Bosnia, if they don't have RR tracking, the Post office attaches it and every envelope or package has to be delivered with signature and of course 1.8 BAM which is around 1$ fee.

I heard cases of stolen packages but obviously now it's much harder for a mailman to do that.

Man, you know how it is here. Not only that we have issues with politics and other kind of tensions, now ever shipping companies are treating us as shit hole.

Hard to make any progress under such circumstances. Imagine somebody living in Bihac, Bosnia, have to pay 120EUR for Digi-Key package and just 15 drive across the border, it would cost 10-20 eur.

How far are you living from the border, and how easy is the border crossing?

If it is close and easy enough for frequent crossings, you might be able to set up a PO Box or storage cell in a neighboring country the packages can be sent to, them you just cross over the border to pick them up.

That's definitely an option but there is different import regulations.

On one side there is Croatia, EU Country with 40EUR import limit without tax. On another side, there is Serbia, very conservative also regarding the cost and amount of import. I have some friends and relatives there but gain an issue which makes every package more expensive for 20-50 EUR, rewarding friends or paying the PO box.

In Bosnia, right now, i have 150EUR value tax free so, regarding the tax free import, at the moment, we have the best position in the region.

Border is not far from anywhere. Bosnia is very small country.
