My mother wanted a new phone book, but it's of something that her mother had back in her day to which she wanted for herself...
Here's some images for those very curious about it (and how it works)...
This would also be a birthday gift for her (although "belated" in a sense, as it's coming on Wednesday, or a bit earlier if I'm lucky).

But seeing it differently: no-one is going to nick your contact book performed by some obscure outfit (e.g. FoolBook) and/or country. :popcorn:

we had the rotary version that matched the telephone dial,although the most used numbers were also stored in our brain,nowadays many people cant even remember there own phone number let alone those of sevral mates and assorted relations.
