Shame that trick can't be done with CD slots.

A Korad U203 lab power supply!

I am getting more and more old notebooks and other items (led lights, tool battery chargers) with a rechargeable battery were I have to find out whether or not these might be upgraded or repaired. Often they come without their power supply. Therefore, especially the prolonged battery charging tests, blocked my lab power supply for longer periods of time. For this reason, I set up a second notebook (and PC) evaluation test bench. See pic.

Konica Minolta CA-210 display colour analyser, couldn't help myself lol.

Now given that it's around 2 decades old it does struggle in the ol' repeatability below say 0.2 nits, nothing a little averaging cant solve though haha. Since I have a spectroradiometer I can do the matrix calibration for each display I want to measure. It can store 99 of them which is handy.

What a wonderful VFD display, might be my first multi colour one.  :-+

That is a really nice looking connector on the top right haha jeeez.

A Precision 'Inanimate Rod'

Specs claim 4 microns in 300mm so I will see if I can tell how good or bad it is when it gets here ;D

$50 AUD postage for well over 10kg from the US was to good to pass up along with a 'decent' buy price.

As they say there are no stupid questions and the only online references I could find were pointing to The Simpsons episodes I have to ask: What is an Inanimate Rod and did yours also make 'Employee of the week'?  :)
