That only happened after his visa application to stay in the US was declined. The guy got mad ...

Also a fact was certain douchy members went after him time and time and time again. Build a bridge already!

This ^.
Unfortunately **DELETED BY MOD** was a victim of this mostly gently moderated forum where religion and politics are supposed to be no-no's.
The guy had every right to defend the country of his birth from the one eyed one sided digs he constantly suffered rather than they be the ones that should have been pulled into line.
China is a massive and growing empire and it has its problems but show us a country that hasn't had some shady past long forgotten in history.
Moderators also need look at themselves for this loss of this very helpful and young member with a PhD in Power Electronics that he and his parents made significant sacrifice's for him to gain.
He's now back in Shenzhen running a research team with govt funding where I'm very sure he will do well.

I am sure he will, since by his own admission was also working on audiophoolery products.

God forbid someone wants to design audio amplifiers as a side project :palm:

You don't know half the story.

I'll back Dave up 100% on this. Regardless of the actions of this particular individual, you're on one of the least moderated forums out there. We let a lot slide and typically only respond when you guys hit the "report" button. There are only the 3 of us who actively moderate posts, and Geoff (gnif) only jumps in when he absolutely needs to.

I use Whingepool (Whirlpool) as an example of a popular forum that is heavily moderated and the moderation rules shift and change depending on the day, which way the wind is blowing and whether the moderator agrees with your comments or not.

Here, I'd like to think we have the balance right. It's impossible to keep everyone happy all the time, but we do our best based on the feedback we get from all of you.
