Title: What happened to the EEVblog Chinese mailbag special idea?
Post by: MatthewMorgan on November 02, 2019, 10:26:22 am
On episode 1019, Dave Jones talks about wanting to do a Chinese special episode of the mailbag. He said that he had already shot the footage for it and was going to try to find it.

Ever since there appears to have been no updates on the episode even though it would have probably made for a more comedic episode (as the episodes take a less serious tone when the eBay items are featured).

Here is the video link with the timestamp where Dave talks about the episode idea: https://youtu.be/WyV06NfWzoQ?t=2556

IIRC I shot the unboxing parts of that video and then something else got in the way and the items put aside for the close up video but it never happened. And then a lab move happened, so no chance of finishing that.
I might see if I have the footage and dump on the 2nd channel.

That would be really good as your initial reaction to seeing the eBay Chinese crap is normally better than the teardowns of them. The only exception to this would have been the £1 soldering iron I ordered (episode #866), which probably could be on a best moments of the mailbag.

Thank You :)
