What is an MSEE worth?

Our networks are getting better, they have to broadcast things a lot quicker, otherwise we just stick with Rapidshare, etc.

I think the main point is that if it takes, say 3 years to get a higher-level  qualification, for any 'real-world' job, 3 years' experience doing real projects is likely to be much more valuable, especially if those projects cover a wide range of skills.
