What is going on at Mouser?

SiliconWizard:
Well, welcome to Hollywood.

It is sad to see such embarassing situation from Mouser - being local, I tend to favour them instead of others but I would probably be mad with the lack of updates.

I also have been caught many times in the situation mentioned by Ataradov: any name or company matching a specific list of export controlled agents or countries is met with an immediate shutdown of communications - yes, even to simply try to explain the situation to the other party.

On the other hand, there might be a mess up with updated export regulations of Brexit. I know there were some talks of new rules for UK, Canada, etc.

All in all, it is good to have options.

A quick poll of a few assembly subcontractors at the EDS show today - of those who used Mouser, a few had definitely seen noticeable delays in Mouser orders recently, so it's not just me...!

Also, TME reported a high percentage of shipments experiencing customs delays for shipments going outside Europe. Forgot to ask if this included UK

EPAIII:
Instead of actually telling you why, perhaps they could just send a copy of the law or regulation and let you draw your own conclusion.

But then, I am not a lawyer.

This was posted earlier - it's rather vague and open to interpretation.
