No reply to an email I sent querying it
And now I get an email saying it's been cancelled, with NO explanation.

What the hell is going on? Mouser used to be a reliable supplier - are the wheels falling off?

(the order items were some LIN transceivers, bog-standard transistors and terminal blocks, nothing remotely export sensitive)

It seems it's being held for export review; just a wild guess.

I did discover a part in my cart was EAR restricted "Product available only to OEM/EMS and design business customers. Product is not shipped to consumers in the EU or the UK. This product will require additional documentation to export from the United States."

Oddly, this part didn't have the restriction a few weeks ago when I checked the BOM stock levels.  The older generation of the same module doesn't have the restriction, so I went back to that.  It is a UWB radio module from Qorvo, ex Decawave, that I've used before.  The newer one has much lower power consumption, which would have been handy.

Now to see if the order gets snagged by the Mouser systems...

Well my order has been shipped according to the invoice that has just arrived.  All seems to be there too.

I had a Mouser export restriction because of this 0603 resistor  :-//:

Reason was that Vishay had not yet released formal export documents.
The dumb bureaucracy everywhere is getting ridiculous.

However, the helpdesk person of Mouser that helped me on the phone (Dennis) was very helpful,
cancelled that single order line, and expedited the delivery.

He said it happens a lot these days.

Mouser was my very first net 30 acct when I opened my shop in 1996, 100% great service up till 2007 when they
began charging tax on out of state orders. Turns out my state does not consider parts "products" like a TV, chair
or refrigerator which is taxable so I ought not have to pay tax on any parts purchases. Tell that to the illegal alien they hired
who only knows what the computer says. I got into a fight with the dirtbag, and he deleted the account completely. No login anymore, emails rejected,
browser IP blocked, even had my telephone number flagged in the system so I could not call in and escalate the complaint. Every time I visited the site it said I was a robot and had me filling captchas just to view a page.

Every bill i had with them was paid in full on the account and I even wrote in excellent reviews going out of my way to compliment the tech support on their knowledge. So there went 10+ yrs of otherwise great service at the cost of hiring cheap labor.

Regarding the import tariffs, those are to be absorbed by the importer. We are not importing if the order is within our own country.
Its a cheap way for them to pass the costs of the import taxes on the chinese parts and merchandise flooding markets from China
and ruining local economies.
