Title: What is the value of the 858D hot air station fuse
Post by: starplayer on June 22, 2017, 05:05:09 pm
Hi there. I bought a Youyue 858D, European 220V, recently, but it came with no fuse :-DD Can anyone that has one tell me its value and type so that I don't burn down the house?
Thank you.

220V heater is about 72ohms so 675W and 5A fuse used (fast-acting).
110V heater is about 20ohms so 611W and 8A fuse used (fast-acting).

I would never leave it plugged in, it might burn the house down. The safety on these units is very poor.
Check but there is mains power going to the front panel connector/wand, even when the unit is switched off.

If it arrived out-of-the-box without a fuse, it was not tested. Return it.
