Where do you buy your electronic parts from? Digikey, Mouser, LCSC, fry's electronics, etc. I get mine from digikey. and sometimes from my local fry's electronics.

I think that's over with...

Where you get parts will depend a lot on what you need.  I repair a wide variety of stuff, so I need a wide variety of source.

For 'normal' new parts, Mouser/DigiKey/Newark, in that order.

Scrounging for rarer parts I've used eBay, Aliexpress and Amazon with pretty good luck--I can't remember any substandard deals on parts.

For interesting stuff for projects, don't overlook places like All Electronics or Electronic Goldmine.

And then there's my garage.  Sometimes the stuff I'm looking for is actually in there somewhere.

The parts world may get interesting pretty soon for the production people.  Between Covid, burning factories and a traffic jam on the Suez Canal, there may be some nasty surprises coming up.

Arrow for special parts that are (relatively) hard to find, Amazon and Ebay when fakes are not likely to be a major concern and sometimes have insane deals. That said, I most often buy subassemblies like gadgets to hack since I have quite a collection of individual components from the past.
