Where to get these pots
« on: November 23, 2019, 03:10:31 pm »
Hi guys,
I'am looking for these pots (photos attached). I need the ones with the lead bent 90 degrees. I'am looking for a 500K log pot and 100K linear pot. Could you recommend a brand or an online shop which carries them.
Thanks

Plenty of similar potentiometers.

Measure the diameter of the actuator and its length ... everything else is less important (you can add some plastic /rubber/ whatever spacer between the pot and the pcb if it's thinner.
Silkscreen says they're 100k ohm, logarithmic, so that reduces the search as well.

You can probably bend the leads of the following  and cut/shape the ends with some pliers to go through hole:

edit:  saw the second picture... there's 100k ohm linear and logarithmic and 500kohm log ...

These ones look a lot like the ones in the picture, but they have short pins:

https://www.digikey.com/products/en?keywords=P160KN-0QC15B100K
https://www.digikey.com/products/en?keywords=P160KN-0QC15A500K

I think the ones you actually need with long pins, by looking at this datasheet

https://www.ttelectronics.com/TTElectronics/media/ProductFiles/Potentiometers/Datasheets/P160.pdf

are part numbers P160KN2-0QC15B100K (linear) and  P160KN2-0QC15A500K (log).  Sadly not stocked neither by DigiKey nor Mouser.

Since the ones you want to replace have a broken shaft, something that you can try is buying a mechanically compatible pot of a different resistance, disassemble them (not to hard to do) and swap the broken shafts with the new ones.

Correction: Mouser has stock of P160KN2-0QC15B100K

Homer: Kids, there's three ways to do things; the right way, the wrong way and the Max Power way!
Bart: Isn't that the wrong way?
Homer: Yeah, but faster!
