Who first invented barrier blocks and when?
DavideAndrea:
I get the sense that the Buchanan Construction Company made the first barrier blocks but I can't get much info on that. Ideal bought Buchanan and that history seems to be lost. Also, TE sells barrier blocks under the "Buchanan" name.
Or maybe Cinch Jones did. Their 1959 catalog lists them.
So I am asking for leads from this community.
In case it's unclear, these are barrier blocks: .

(This is for a book I'm writing.)

I don't have time to chase this down at the moment but if I understand what you're referring to as barrier blocks, then my USMC M38A1 jeep has them and it was built in 1953. It's not a standard Jeep, it was built as a Forward Air Controller's vehicle and was packed full of radios and all of the necessary wiring.
Sal Ammoniac:
What's a barrier block?
Benta:
Seems to be useful in Minecraft.
