FORUM UPDATE: New Ignore Topics Feature

Doh!  That was it tautech. Thanks.  I could swear that reply #2 of yours was not there when I looked through the thread a few minutes ago.

Is this feature suppose to be a button ?

You have to wait until there's a new reply, then click either Show unread posts since last visit. or Show new replies to your posts. and the checkbox near the thread you wish to ignore.

It works for me, but only for the Show unread posts since last visit. and Show new replies to your posts links. It won't ignore threads if you click on the forum section containing the thread.

For someone like me that uses the forum mostly via the recent posts list at the bottom of the home page it isn't very useful. What I want is to not have the recent post list  swamped by the latest hot thread pushing all other activity off the radar. I recently tried to ignore a thread but I had forgotten both how to do it and that it isn't what I wanted either.

Setting it up isn't hard but it's also not intuitive.

ok i know what is different today
it has to be due to fresh relogging
yesterday while still logged in, nothing changes

For someone like me that uses the forum mostly via the recent posts list at the bottom of the home page it isn't very useful.

Use the 'Show unread posts since last visit' list instead? That shows new posts you haven't read, in time order, and ignores ignored threads. Recent posts shows any recent post, read or ignored included.
