Why was my Jackie Mason topic removed?

Why was my Jackie Mason topic removed - Someone got all hyper-sentitive?  :-// It's not as if I was offensive, or said ANYTHING remotely rude or provocative.

Weird. Oh well.

Such is life on an internet forum. You won't have necessarily done anything "wrong" to have your topic removed. Dave likes to keep it electronics related as much as possible.

There was another post magically disapeared in Thermal thread this afternoon, so could be a technical glitch.

I deleted it.
If I let one person post a youtube video about their favourite off-topic *insert whatever* then I have to let everyone do that, and people will see all these new threads with off-topic titles and start their own and the forum will quickly spiral down into an off-topic abyss.
So we try to keep this forum as on-topic as possible.
We don't mind if threads stray off-topic, that happens, but deliberate off-topic posting about your favourite thing in new threads will likely get deleted.

And before anyone asks "why not have a separate off-topic section were people can post whatever they want, what's the harm?" There is a lot of potential harm and it's been explained many times before why.
