Silicon Chip magazine in US?
« on: May 22, 2012, 06:45:08 pm »
Anyone know if there is a US distributor for Silicon Chip magazine?  Their website lists a 1-year subscription for $140, but Futurlec sells issues for $8, which makes the subscription price seem silly.

Is that maybe Australian Dollars vs. US Dollars?

IIRC Silicon Chip also has an online-only subscription. Maybe that one is cheaper?
I delete PMs unread. If you have something to say, say it in public.

I hadn't considered that, but it looks like the exchange rate is even money.  Online version is cheaper, but not significantly cheaper than Futurlec's hard copy price...and I prefer a hard copy.  I'll probably just buy the issues I want from them.

Greetings EEVBees:

--A friend of mine gave me some old copies of Silicon Chip. I have to say, this is a great, great magazine. Any kid bitten by the Electronics bug will read this mag cover to cover multiple times, even though he may not understand everything just yet. These kinds of periodicals have pretty much disappeared from shelves in the US.

--Should Silicon Chip every pass on, it will be sorely missed and remembered with nostalgic affection.

"I told you so, you damned fools."
