Woohoo! I finally found the perfect IC storage boxes....
WD40:
Hello!
I seem to remember seeing a storage carousel, much like the ubiquitous Raaco ones, that was designed to hold tubes of ICs. Is this a false memory? I also seem to remember it having a frightening price tag. I can't see many of them getting onto the open market secondhand unless an OEM wer to close down.
What if you are buying ICs in tubes and would rather not lose the will to live by having to pluck them out one by one and line them up in ESD foam?
Has anyone seen a nifty solution used at an OEM?
TIA

Halcyon:
Speaking of IC storage, I've been looking for a solution to store hundreds of RAM sticks of various physical sizes. I've got everything from SODIMMs and old 30 pin SIMMs to modern DIMMs.
I'm reluctant to throw them in a box where they can just loosely move around. I thought about some kind of board with slots cut out (similar to what they ship in from the factory) but not sure how economical that would be in terms of actual physical storage space. I guess it could work if the trays were mounted in a frame where you could stack them and pull them out like drawers.
Any thoughts?

stuff a few layers of foam into a esd box, cut slits in it and put the ram in there. I bought a big ass piece of ESD foam for this kind of thing
