That looks like a standard form letter they use.

I remember ordering a battery from them and getting the same leaflet, of course with "carrying case" replaced with "battery".

Did you took them up on the offer and had a chat?
I delete PMs unread. If you have something to say, say it in public.

That looks funny. That is until you've been on the receiving end of some tech support calls.

Based on my experience with Lenovo, I'd say their technical support for a carrying case is probably every bit as good as what you would get for a computer  :(

Well, to be fair, I once had to ask for washing instructions because it was a gray bag (one of those where you slip the laptop in like an envelope). I didn't know wether to machine wash or wether it would lose its color.

He did not belive me when i told him that it was not the HD... Became angry and left.

Ugh..... not knowing something like that I can forgive.... if I'm in a good mood.... but getting angry? Why the hell do some people just have to be so angry all the time? ??? I guess it's a bit less awkward for him than admitting he's a dumbass...

My first job was as an IT gimp supporting the sales force of a software company.

It was torture.  They were so catty and petty.  When I started, new hires would come down to my office, introduce themselves and tell me their boss told them to tell me they needed a PC.  The boss would march down a few hours later demanding to know why he had a guy sitting in a cube with nothing to work on.  Took a while to make the bosses understand that they need to tell us at least a few days before so we can have it ready because we don't have a stack of computers waiting for someone to need them.

But the worst was we had a habit of buying whatever the best bang-for-the-buck Dell was at the time for around $1,500.  So each passing month, the computers we were buying were getting faster and better.   When this was discovered, the boss came down and demanded that he should have the fastest computer, his sales managers the next fastest computers, and so on down the line and the lowliest person should have the slowest.  With 20-30 sales people, it meant musical computers.   New hire?  VP of sales gets a new machine, fight ensues which sales manager gets his old one, fight ensues over which sales worker bee gets the sales manager machine, and the poor new hire gets some old POS on it's last legs.

Only thing worse than that were the field sales guys who came to work once every couple of weeks.  They would swing by and drop off their list of stuff they "needed" for their sales job.  Big monitor to plug laptop into when at home, laptop docking bay, home laser printer, cellular modem, portable laser printer, few extra batteries for long plane flights, 5.1 dolby speaker system, etc.  Always got very angry whenever you said no.  Almost came to blows with one guy who started a lecture on how the IT people were there to support the sales guys who are the ones who bring in the money which allows everyone else to stay employed, and ought to be treated according to their status as the most important people in the company.   :-DD
It's not always the most popular person who gets the job done.
