I am considering getting an Xray inspection unit. I am worried the unit performance might be a bit mediocre as it employs a source with a 100um target ( source of X ray radiation) at 60KV. Any opinions and comments? |

What exactly are you wanting to inspect? |
| TimFox:
Such a tube is used with geometric magnification of an object close to the tube, and a flat-plate or film far from the object. Tubes with larger tube targets are used at low magnification, with the object close to the film. Mike, solder joints. Tim, Thank You. Always good to learn something new. I can not comment on the tube to test object distance other than to say the distance is in the 20 to 30mm range. X-Ray Flat sensor image resolution: 2.1million pixels, 18lp/mm, pixels size: 18um Effective detect image area and format: 30*30mm This all sounds clever and vaguely right but what can I expect? |

no takers? |
