X-Ray video of an 18650 Lithium cell thermal runaway.

Interesting 18650 X-Ray video, ever wondered what's going on inside that lithium cell before it pops?

Actually, this guy has a few videos up on the 18650, I guess what they do at a syncrotron after hours... :-)

Thanks for that. Interesting, though not sure what practically useful information it provides.
It looks even better if you download the video and play it at around 4x speed. (https://keepvid.com/ works for me.)

I wonder how they made it go into thermal runaway?

I didn't even know high speed x-ray was a thing. But these are some interesting videos.
