TV show contracting

Hey all,

I've been talking to a producer about making some stuff for a new show, this world is totally new to me and it would be great to be able to talk to someone to learn about the industry, how much to charge, how much lawyering I should do, etc.

Has anyone here done something like this or can point me to a good resource or forum?

seems like the best places would ne production companies or fil/tv schools in your location.
