Thread title should be changed to "30 year old plug found in 1 year old fake rock". Honestly, that's a lot more intriguing too.
There is a growing collection of "out of place artifacts" found in places all over the planet. Including many that are clearly not "faked". They are simply dismissed by people who have conflicting world-views.
That rock could never deal with +4dBu without clipping.

Examples?
As fond as I am of that sort of random Forteana, I can't think offhand of any examples where the claimed anachronism is supportable - or hasn't been at least been given a plausible explaination that also fits the verifiable facts.
(Of course, simply asking probably marks me as someone with 'conflicting world-views'...)

Very good Richard. I do like that.
I have not seen that before... And so as not to look too ignorant I searched the forum and found that lmgtfy has only been used 30 times.
32 now...
The Aluminum Wedge of Aiud...
A friend of ours ripped off her bra at our wedding. Now those were a couple of out of place artifacts

Yes, very droll (but not very original). You win the internet. Try not to bump the 'off' switch when you collect your prize...
But I'm still curious to see examples that "are clearly not faked" and "are simply dismissed by people who have conflicting world-views". Silly claims about objects embedded in '100,000 year old granite', or objects that are 'mysterious' simply because some clown says they're mysterious, aren't even close.
Pretty sure you can trust this guy from the History channel show.
Anyone who's ever been around old, Soviet technology will tell you just how silly the idea that some ancient civilization came up with modern, familiar, "forgotten" technology, and it got embedded in some rock. Someone mentioned time travel. That would be more likely, IMHO.
